Our Philosophy

Why TVAH?

From Tvacha (skin) + Aha — that moment of delight when something truly nourishing lands on your skin.

TVAH was born from a simple question: what if skincare could truly nourish instead of just promising to? We looked back to find the answer forward.

In the ancient Ayurvedic texts such as Charak Samhita, we found Shata Dhauta Ghrita — ghee washed one hundred times until it transforms into something extra-ordinarily nourishing. Not skincare as treatment. Skincare as nourishment. Beyond the Ayurveda clichés.

"This takes five days to make. That isn't a limitation - it's the entire point."

Not Applied.

Absorbed.

TVAH is felt, not explained. The formulations are designed to become part of you — absorbed into the skin, completely. A lipid profile your skin-barrier already understands.

Ritual for Modern Skin

One jar. One step.

TVAH belongs in modern life — urban, composed, intentional. No elaborate multi-step routines. Just one moment of nourishment that fits wherever your rhythm of life.

Start in the shower and as the last thing your skin receives before rest. TVAH doesn't demand a new routine — it enhances the one you already have.

A Letter From the Founder

The story behind TVAH.

Meeta Ghuwalewala · ~5 min read

I, Meeta Ghuwalewala, believe in natural skincare routines. I have always used things derived from my kitchen-shelf. I struggled with using existing creams on my face or body — my skin has been extremely sensitive and prone to rashes since I was very young.

I remember there was a cocoa butter, pH-balanced cream from the US that was the only product my skin could tolerate. Because of this, I naturally leaned toward simple, natural remedies.

From my grandmothers and great-grandmothers, I grew up hearing about the properties of ghee, coconut oil, almond oil, haldi, neem and kesar. I used these as body oils and in face packs made at home by my mother.

In 2016, we began white-labelling cosmetics. I have always had a keen interest in R&D, and this gave me the chance to deeply learn about ingredients and what they do. It also made me think about how ancient Indian wisdom could be made easier and more accessible for everyone to use. "Ghee smells!" — the one thing I kept hearing became the thing I wanted to rewrite.

By 2019, I began convincing my husband we should create a line of ghee-based skincare products.

That journey ultimately led me to Shata Dhauta Ghrita and A2 Ghee,, and I was excited I had found a miracle ingredient. I often found myself awake at 3:30 A.M., reading more about it and the more I read the more intrigued and amazed I became and I would find myself messaging my team at the same time.

Then came the most important question: sourcing. I wanted it to be infused with love and care, and most importantly, I wanted the cows and calves to be treated with love and respect. After a long search, I finally found a farm that aligned perfectly with my vision — they were preparing Shata Dhauta Ghrita with the utmost care and integrity.

India has a plethora of ingredients that are incredibly beneficial and work wonders on the skin. I knew I wanted to honour that. That quiet aha — the moment something truly nourishing lands on the skin — became the north star.

I have tried to keep the products as natural as possible, so they can be used by everyone — babies, children, men, and women.

I hope you enjoy using them as much as I enjoyed creating them.

— Meeta

What We Believe

Fewer ingredients.
Greater intention.

Radical Transparency

Every ingredient on the label, sourced traceably, and chosen for what it does — not just for shelf life or feel.

Ancient Over Modern

Shata Dhauta Ghrita has been documented in the Charak Samhita for over 5,000 years. We didn't invent it — we remembered it, and rebuilt the supply chain it deserves.

Traceable & Numbered

Every batch is numbered. Every Gir cow is traceable. The milk is hand-collected only after the calf is satiated. Nothing is mass-produced — and that's the entire point.
